It is lovely. And caused my sentimental eyes to sweat. Just a little.
(Still wouldn't drink the beer though.)

he he he cute... although I don't like it when alcohol or sodas use the sense of warmth, family, friendship and love in their commercials... it's poison.

I remember that one. Budweiser always makes good commercials.
And it's only poison to those who abuse it.

A really good one indeed. Seen it a few times

Sweet. My favorite version of that song is the one done by the cast and crew of Doctor Who for Tenth Doctor, David Tennant's going away party.

Awe that is just the sweetest commercial!!! Thanks for sharing that. Made my morning.

With ya on both, EC. I never developed a taste for beer. But I do love those commercials;)

Hi, dear Sandra! I miss Ed McMahon's commercials for Budweiser. I have seen this warm and fuzzy commercial before. It's interesting to note that this vignette, featuring two of man's favorite animals, a horse and a lovable breed of dog, has drawn criticism from wildlife conservation groups who point out, and rightly so, that it reinforces man's hatred of the wolf, a creature that has unjustly earned a bad reputation over the centuries. Wolves have a right to hunt and eat just like any other animal... including man.

I quit drinking more than 23 years ago, Dezmond, and haven't touched a drop since. I share your opinion about commercials of this type used to market alcoholic beverages.

Well, I'm a wolf lover, and I thought this was a sweet commercial. It's highly unlikely that horses would rush to the rescue anyway. It's fiction.

Tears in my eyes this morning, how sweet!

Hi Dez, I really hadn't thought about it from that perspective. And that's a valid viewpoint.
I just think of it terms of really enjoying the commercials. Also like the Coke bear and the M & Ms. They are all so creative. There are so few really good commercials out there.

I love the Clydesdale commercials.

First time I've seen it. That'll teach me for not watching the football games. grin.

It is a good song, CJ. Good taste on your part.

I'm glad, FT:) I like it too.

they're cute and all that, but the point is that they try to lure you in by using very sneaky notions. For example how Coca Cola always tries to connect the poisonous soda to the notion of family and warmth and friendship etc... it's very dangerous because they want you to associate the unhealthy product which people shouldn't really give to their kids with nice and pleasant feelings. It's a psychological type of marketing.

Oh my-this made me tear up-the poor little puppy! They know how to get at your heart strings. I am reading some of the comments-this commercial fueled some emotions! OH well, I think it's like a mini Lassie movie. Knowing me, I would make sure to feed the wolf too:)

Sandra Cox said...

Oh definitely, Shady. And its too bad it stirs folks up. Too me, it's just a short tug-at-the heart fictional story. And when its over I still like the wolves.

Such a beautiful commercial. Awesome!

Sandra Cox said...

Me too, Elizabeth:) And it is fiction:) But you know if a horse was attached to a dog, I bet he'd try to help. I had a dog that went after another dog because it had tried to get his best pal, which was a cat.

Love the commercial, although I don't drink.

Glad you enjoyed it, Christine. Hope your day has been a good one.

Sandra Cox said...

LOL. I'd feed the wolf too, Birgit. Yes, it has elicited a variety of responses:)

Sandra Cox said...

Awesome is a good word for it:) Glad you enjoyed it.

Sandra Cox said...

I don't either, Yvonne, especially not beer. Plu, plu, plu, plu.
But I've never met a Clydesdale commercial I didn't love.
